Pineapple Tart Recipe



INGREDIENTS:
Makes about 150 tarts

Pineapple jam:
2 medium-size pineapples, grated
300g sugar
Some cinnamon and star arise (optional)


METHOD:
1. Cook grated pineapple in a pot with sugar for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
2. Cook until the pineapple jam starts to leave the sides of the pot. Remove from stove and set aside to cool.
3. Roll jam into small balls, as shown in Pic. 1.

Tart pastry:
300g butter
130g margarine
100g icing sugar
80g milk powder
1 egg
600g cake/superfine flour
30g custard powder

Method for Tart pastry:
1. Preheat oven at 170-180 deg C.
2. Cream butter and margarine in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
3. Add egg and beat well.
4. Sift icing sugar, milk powder, flour and custard powder into the mixture. Fold to incorporate all ingredients to form a smooth pastry dough.

For pineapple rolls:
1. Place some pastry dough into mould. Using your thumbs, pipe dough of about 5cm in length. Place a jam ball on it and roll the pastry up to enclose the jam (Pic. 5).
2. Brush tarts with egg wash. Bake in a greased, lined baking tin (Pic. 6) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
3. Cool the tarts on wire rack.

NOTES !!!
1. adjust your sugar amount depends on your pineapple sweetness
2.Before you continued your cookies step...i suggest you to cool the jam first for a night...because its quite easier for you to cook ...because it less sticky

N.E.W R.E.C.I.P.E

Today we will post a cookie recipe that we've tried the day before. We made a slight change when bake the cookies,we used buttercup instead of butter because that was what's available in stock.






DAHLIA biscuits


Ingredients:
300 gram buttercup
140 g icing sugar
2 eggs yolks
1 teaspoon rose essense
240 g flour
100 g cornflour
160 g custard flour
red cherries


Method: 
1.Combine cream butter and icing sugar. 
  

2.Add in egg yolks and rose essence. continued beating.

3.Add cornflour and finally enough flour. (Amount of flour may differ depends on the consistency of the dough) to form a soft dough.

4.Place a bit of filling onto the hollow part of the dough.

5.Bake in a preheated oven at 170 for 20 minutes.

Almond London Biscuits



Ingredients :

250 grams butter

60 grams icing/castor sugar
360 grams multi purpose flour
30 grams cake flour mix
10 grams custard floor mix
1 tea spoon vannila extract
2 egg yolks
500 grams almond (roasted and cooled)
500 grams semi-sweet cooking chocolate & 1 table spoon butter (to be melted in a double boiler)
Some almond bits

Method:
(1) Beat sugar and butter till all mixed and fluffy

(2) Add egg yolks to the batter, fold a bit more.

(3) Add vannila extract, and fold some more.

(4) Add all the dry ingredients (flour), mix well into a soft dough.

(5) pinch a thumb size amount of dough, place inside it the roasted almond, close over it and
shaped it into a longish ball.

(6) Bake for about 17 minutes in 300 F oven.

(7) Totally cool the cookies, before dipping it all in melted chocolate.

(8) Place the cookies in paper cup, and sprinkle on top of it with almond bits.

Biskut sarang semut....






Ingredients:
200 g castard flour
100 g plain flour
120 g butter
100 gm sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
chocolate rice for sprinkling on the cookies
paper cups

Method:
1) In a mixer, cream the butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla essence till fluffy.

2) Add in the mixture of custard and plain flour which has been sifted first.

3) Chill the dough in the fridge for about 1/2 hour or more, and grate the dough.

4) Spoon the grated dough into paper cup and sprinkle some chocolate rice on top.

5) Bake in preheated oven of 175degrees C for about 15-20 minutes.
